Prices people can understand

Burger Parity is an independent price-comparison project published under the Burger Parity name. It makes a selected set of familiar products easier to compare across countries, using local prices and a common USD reference.

What you can do here

Compare one product across countries, explore a country's reference basket, or inspect two countries side by side. You can also download the recorded data and see how the basket score is calculated.

What we do not claim

We are not The Economist and are not affiliated with the brands listed. The current reference dataset is not a verified live price feed, a comprehensive household budget, or an official purchasing-power-parity statistic. Product names identify the items being compared.

Transparency before precision

A number with two decimal places can still be based on an old observation. Source labels, product definitions, dates and assumptions matter more than apparent precision. Where independent source dates are missing, we say so.
