Source status
The current dataset contains manually supplied reference prices and wage estimates. A source label names the attributed provider or retailer; it is not proof that the current price was checked. We do not substitute database import time or page build time for the source observation date.
Claims and comparisons
Price rankings describe the covered reference records. We do not claim to identify the cheapest place to live, predict exchange rates or recommend relocating based on this basket. Articles distinguish stored figures, calculated comparisons and unverified explanations.
Historical charts and wage estimates
The seeded historical charts are simulated illustrations and are labeled accordingly. Wage confidence is inherited from the original records, not a certification. Regional rules, tax assumptions and effective dates may differ.
Corrections
On September 7, 2026, we corrected articles that listed unsupported country rankings or prices inconsistent with the product tables. Existing article URLs were retained. Revised articles show a separate editorial revision date; this does not indicate that every underlying price was reverified.
Attribution and use
When citing a table, include the page URL, product/unit, country, currency, reference dataset version and access date. Check the original provider before relying on a figure. Downloading the dataset does not grant rights to third-party brand assets or source material.
